Game History

As far as what's happened in the past few months in the game...:

• met Martha Jones and immediately decided he would like to shag her
• realised pretty soon after shagging her that he'd like to do so again
• realised much later on and to his complete horror that he's in love with Martha
• has had his head tampered with by the Master; increased his rage
• attempted to beat up the Doctor
• had his head tampered with by the Doctor while unconscious in an attempt to cure what the Master did
• Doctor's attempt made things worse; calmed the rage but messed up Owen's mind so much that...
• his nose would bleed and his mind would experience something akin to a seizure at the sound of Jack's name
• had a brief moment of communication with the Master
• almost took retcon to fix his head, was almost fired by Jack after a conversation about trust
• had his head fixed by Susan
• went out for drinks with Jack while Jack was in Gwen's body, was serenaded
• worked on a report using people's DNA and blood to figure out why they might be falling through the Rift
• covered the Hub in sticky notes
• infected the Doctor with flu as a form of revenge
• trapped Jake down in the cells after Jake broke into Torchwood
• did an alien autopsy -- blood soaked through his gloves and into his skin, made him overly happy
• almost died of said happiness
• was again almost fired, initially demoted both off active field duty and position as second-in-command
• struck compromise with Jack -- off active field duty but retaining second-in-command
• saved Gwen's life after a radiation burst from the Rod
• saved Martha's life after a Weevil attack
• found Susan and determined enough information to help Martha figure out Susan's now human
• is now back on active field duty
• shot trying to protect Ianto from being kidnapped
• ran off after breaking up with Martha / too much happened and has been retconned (voluntarily)
• was called by Jack and Tosh, Jack said he wanted to hire Owen for Torchwood and...
• ...when Owen stepped back into the Hub, his memories started coming back, though not all at once and some might not come back at all.
• was stuck with Martha in 1986 after the Master put a vortex manipulator on the door
• engineered a prion disease targeted toward Time Lords to kill the Master
• was transferred to London; thought the transfer would be permanent
• after resolving issues with Jack and helping set up TW1, he was transferred back to TW3 as of November 19th.

Random Bits Of Personal Canon

(these are things about Owen which may or may not be true canon-wise; but are true in regards to Owen in the game)

• 32 years old -- an estimate made by both the actor's real age and of Owen's level of medical experience.
• uses smiley-faced bandages on people just for his own amusement
• blood type O+
• is more fragile emotionally than he likes to admit
• still has Diane's scarf as well as a picture of them together (that he now keeps hidden)
• knows lyrics to Celine Dion songs (but does not like her)
• hates singing and definitely hates karaoke
• calls Martha "dollface" just to annoy her
• spends a portion of time working on ways to cure alien diseases
• has become a bit of an expert on Time Lords due to the report, has theories about Jack because of this
• is snobby about people's education; quick to dismiss anyone unintelligent
• prefers sensible people -- which may explain his fondness for Susan
• was called upon for assistance after battle of Canary Wharf; thus explaining his immediate recognition/horror at seeing a Cyberman conversion unit in the Hub (in episode 4 of S1).
• had a dog named Helix as a kid (that Owen has now stolen from his childhood self)
• looked like Mr. Magoo when he was 11
• had laser eye surgery to correct bad vision

Relationships

Owen is in a pretty serious relationship with Martha Jones, but will deny this at the drop of a hat. However, he will also protect her at the drop of a hat. They mutually admire each other, yet love nothing more than to argue all the live long day.

His relationship with Jack is unsteady, but Owen generally respects Jack even if he disagrees with him often. Once he lost patience with Jack whaling on him all the time, he snapped and went off to TW1, thinking accepting the transfer was the only solution to an uncomfortable situation. He's made up with Jack but he's still awkward around him, preferring to talk about business matters only.

He has a brotherly type relationship with Ianto -- not the close and tight brothers kind, but the teasing relentlessly and driving each other mad kind of brothers. Though he does like/respect Ianto more than he'll ever say (but happily showed through HUG TIME! during alien blood infection.)

Toshiko and him are tentative friends (more close than he'll admit), even though Owen can be a complete and utter ass to her at times. (He's a complete and utter ass to just about everyone at times.)

He still cares about Gwen in a friendly way, despite them no longer shagging.

He absolutely hates Alice Keyes, possibly even more than he despises the Doctor.

He doesn't particularly feel one way or another toward Adric; is generally lukewarm towards him (but likes him better than Alice and Rose.)

He can't stand the Tenth Doctor one bit but considers Susan one of his best friends (and has a slight crush on her.)

He's related to Seamus Harper and secretly feels protective of him.

He expected to hate the Ninth Doctor but finds himself relating to him in a strange way instead of hating him.
